Earl Henry Timm, age 95 of Utica, passed away peacefully on Friday February 23, 2024, with his loving family by his side.
Earl was the oldest of four children, born in Wykoff, MN to Henry & Esther Timm. He spent his life growing up and farming in Utica. Earl was united in marriage to Elaine Schmidt on December 14, 1957. Earl spent a brief time at a New York medical school, until returning to help on his father's farm in Utica. He took great pride in raising his black angus cattle and was also a great steward of his land. Earl was known to be able to repair, weld, and fabricate parts for anyone needing help. He enjoyed being a Baldwin filters dealer and talking with all his customers. Earl also enjoyed serving on the St. Charles school board for many years.
Earl was fortunate to have many caring neighbors, and being able to continue farming with neighbors Cliff & Matt. He looked forward to his turkey hunting with neighbor Bob and attending gun shows with son Robert. He also enjoyed his travels to Mexico, Grand Canyon, Kansas City, and cruising through the Panama Canal with his family.
He instilled his great work ethic and attention to detail to his children by teaching them the correct way to drive a tractor, make straight crop rows, and not take out any fences. With caring hands, he also passed these traits onto his granddaughters by making them pick up walnuts and branches, and by not overfeeding the cats. The great grandchildren will remember their Honda side-by-side rides and crash course in running the weed-eater.
Earl will be remembered for sharing his great love of maple nut ice cream, root beer floats, and chocolate chip cookies with family and friends.
Earl is survived by his four children Robert/Bob Timm, Karen Timm, Linda (Greg) Bedard, and Gail (George) Price; four granddaughters Vanessa, Katie, Emily, and Ashley; two great grandchildren Parker and Ella; one sister Esther Evers. He was preceded in death by his wife Elaine of 57 years; twin sons; brothers Morris and Allen.
In lieu of flowers/plants, please consider a donation in Earl's honor to MN FFA (MNFFAFoundation.org) or HFA-Humane Farming Association (hfa.org).
