Duane Benson

Duane M. Benson, 74 of Winona, MN, and formerly of Rushford, MN, passed away at his home while in hospice care.  Duane was born on May 11, 1949 in Lanesboro, MN, to Vernon M. Benson and LaVaughn Emma (Benson) Blagsvedt.

He attended school in Rushford.  Duane worked at Rush Products in Rushford for about 10 years and then at ORC Industries in Winona for 38 years from 1983 to 2021.

Duane was an avid Elvis Presley fan and went on 11 group trips to Graceland over the years.  He was also a very dedicated sports fan for all sports.  He attended most of Rushford's Basketball and Football Games in Rushford in the late 1960's to 2010.

Duane is survived by three brothers, Terry L. (Linda) Benson of Foster, RI, his twin brother Dennis L. (Pat) Benson of Fountain City, WI, Kenneth V. (Carol) Benson of Bull Head City, AZ; one sister, Nancy Benson of Winona, MN; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Benson and LaVaughn Benson Blagsvedt; and his sister, Sheila Cheeks Benson.
