Dorothy MaryJane Skime Today heaven received a new angel; Dorothy MaryJane Skime went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2005. Heaven will be a nicer place.She will be missed by her family of nine children, John (Betty) of Utica, MN, Carl (Pam) of Kasson, MN, Lloyd Jr. (Marilyn) of Onalaska, WI, David (Jean) of Fountain City, WI, Pamala (Walt) Ormes of LaCrosse, WI, Edward of Owatonna, MN, Gail (David) Lyke of Owatonna, MN, Kathy of Claremont, MN and Lisa (Kurt) Davis of LaCrescent, MN her 23 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.She was born in Gastonia, NC to John and Besse Williams on August 11, 1925. She was the youngest of 5 children.She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Sr. in 1987, her mother, father, 3 brothers and her sister.Dorothy was married to Lloyd E. Skime Sr. on November 3, 1942 in St. Louis, Mo. They farmed in Roseau, MN before moving to International Falls, MN where they raised their nine children.Dorothy moved to St. Charles, MN in 1990 and worked at the St. Charles Resource Center under the Green Thumb Program until she retired. She was a member of the Anna Circle at Faith Lutheran Church.She had resided at the Adith Miller Manor in Winona, MN for four years before moving to Lake Winona Manor in October of 2004. Her sense of humor will be missed by the many that knew her. Funeral services are planned for Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005 at 11:00am at Faith Lutheran Church in St. Charles with the Rev. Mark Wilms officiating. Spring interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery in Mantorville, MN. Friends may call at Hoff Funeral Homes ?
