Doris Mary Molde

St. Charles, Doris Mary Eldona Molde, 88, of St. Charles, died Sunday August 5, 2007 at Golden Living Center Whitewater in St. Charles. Doris was born August 18, 1918 in Rock Dell Township, Olmsted County to Ellis and Margaret (Haugen) Nereson. She and Raymond J. Molde were married April 9, 1938 at East St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Rock Dell. Following their marriage the couple farmed in Canisteo Township, Dodge County. They farmed in Rock Dell Township for 16 years, moving to Saratoga Township in 1957 and farmed five years, before moving to rural Dover. Doris had worked at Home Produce in St. Charles for many years and worked in housekeeping at St. Mary's Hospital. The couple moved to Rochester in 1993, returning to St. Charles in 2000. Ray died January 17, 2002. Doris was a member of Faith Lutheran in St. Charles. She enjoyed doing embroidery, playing cards, puzzles and crossword puzzles. Survivors include five sons; Charles (Pat) Molde of Byron, James (Barbara) Molde of Hastings, Arlan (Kathy) Molde of Elk River, Terry (Jane) Molde and Monte Molde both of Menomonie, WI, eight grandchildren, six step grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, nine step great-grandchildren, one brother, Robert Nereson of Rochester, three sisters; Helen Thompson of Stewartville, Geneva Carlson of Kasson and Marion (Francis) Bungum of Hayfield. In addition to her husband Doris was preceded in death by a son Gene Harlan, two brothers and three sisters. Funeral Services will be 11AM Thursday at Faith Lutheran Church in St. Charles with the Reverend Dr. Mark Wilms officiating. Burial will follow in Saratoga Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8PM Wednesday at Hoff Funeral Home, St. Charles. They may also call one hour before services at the church on Thursday.
