Doris M. Helgemoe

Doris M. Helgemoe, 80, died Wednesday, September 12, 2007, at Lake Winona Manor in Winona, MN. Doris was born August 12, 1927, in Winona to John and Elizabeth (Gerson) Milnarsek. She married Rodney Helgemoe on September 28, 1946 in Winona, MN. He later died December 2, 2002. Doris had worked for Lake Center Switch, Hal Leonard and retired from the Winona Knitting Mills. She was a member of Central Lutheran Church. Doris was also a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Harvest House and a volunteer for the Winona Senior Center.Survivors include her two daughters, Sharon (Steve) Goergen of Rochester, MN, and Carol Keller of Belleville, WI; three grandchildren, Kathy (Edward) Mielke, Melinda (George) Dressler and Marianne Goergen; five great grandchildren, Damien Goergen, Katelynn Dressler, Jeremy, Jessica and Joshua Mielke; and seven great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Rodney, brother Leslie and four sisters, Bernette, Eleanor, Ethel and Audry.Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2007, at 3:00pm at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service Hansen Goodveiw Chapel with the Reverend Scott Olson officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday where the Eagles Auxiliary will have a prayer service at 2:30pm.
