Doris L. Dorn

Doris L. Dorn, 76, of Lewiston died Sunday evening March 18, 2007 at Winona Community Memorial Hospital. Doris was born March 25, 1930 in Ely, Minnesota to Louis and Esther (Roiko) Loushin. Following high school she moved to Winona where she met Edgar Dorn. They were married on February 3, 1951 at St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Winona. The couple farmed on the Dorn family farm north of Lewiston, where Doris worked with Edgar. Her life revolved around her family and the farm. Doris entered the Lewiston Villa in the fall of 2005. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Lewiston and also belonged to the Bethany Homemakers. Survivors include her husband, Edgar of the Lewiston Villa, four daughters, Shirley (Dave) Adank of Bluff Siding, WI; Susan (Jeff) Gensmer of Stewartville; Sandra Parsons (Richard Klindworth of LaCrosse and Sheila (Joe) Searcy of St. Charles, six grandchildren; Melissa, Michelle and Molly Adank, Paul and Stephen Gensmer and Kylie Searcy, a great-grandchild, two brothers, Bob (Sandie) Loushin and Jim (Jean) Loushin, both of Babbitt and by a sister Helen (Ed) Latva of Ely. Her parents preceded her in death. Funeral Services will be 11AM Friday at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Lewiston with the Reverends David Fischer and Michael Lindemann officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 10-11 AM Friday at the church. Hoff Funeral Home's, Lewiston Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
