Doris E. Taylor, 90, or St. Charles died Wednesday February 1, 2006 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester. Doris was born July 29, 1915 in Bethany to Edward and Martha (Treder) Prudoehl. She was raised in rural Bethany and graduated from Lewiston High School. Doris married Clayton Taylor on June 6, 1939. The couple farmed for twenty years near Bethany before moving to the Mankato area for 20 years. They later moved to Winona where they lived for 17 years until moving to St. Charles three years ago. In addition to being a homemaker, Doris worked at Camera Art in Lewiston and Schuldt Printing in Mankato. Following retirement, she and Clayton enjoyed traveling the country with their camper. Survivors include her husband Clayton, a son Kermit (Donna) Taylor of San Diego, CA, two daughters Lois (Bill) Schwieters of Hemet, CA and Carolyn (Dennis) Verthein of Altura, three grandchildren, Brad (Heather) Verthein of Warrensville, IL, Brenda (Jon) Parsons of Milwaukee, WI and Jay (Amanda) Verthein of Holmen, WI, one great-granddaughter, Lauren Verthein and two sisters, Alice Hendrickson of Plainview and Vivian Howland of Grand Forks, ND. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Funeral Services will be 11AM Monday at Our Savior's Moravian Church in Altura with the Rev. David Sobek officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethany Moravian Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-3 PM Sunday and one hour before services Monday all at Our Savior's Moravian Church.
