Dorathea Elizabeth Heiden

HART, MINN. - Dorathea Elizabeth Heiden, 100, of Hart, Minn. died on Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford, Minn. Dorathea was born on October 26, 1906, in Dodge Center, Minn. to Diedrich and Emma (Seekamp) Meyer. Dorathea moved with her family to the Rushford area as a child. She attended the St. John's Lutheran School in Hart, Minn. She married Leo Heiden on September 8, 1926, in Hart. Dorathea and Leo farmed together for many years in the Hart area. She is survived by five children: Eunice Zicha of Spokane, Wash., Clifford (Patricia) Heiden of Rushford, Minn., Cleo (Leland) McMillen of Winona, Minn., Lila (Merlin) Jameson of Rushford, Minn., and Ione (Claire) Olstad of Peterson, Minn.; seventeen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Lester; one sister, Clara Brand; and three brothers: Walter, George, and Elmer Meyer. The funeral service will be at 3:00p.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2007, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hart, Minn. with the Rev. David Preuss officiating. The burial will be in the St. John's Lutheran (Brand) Cemetery in Hart. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
