Donna LaVonne Fabian

Donna LaVonne Fabian, left this world on February 6, 2025, at the age of 87. Donna was born on May 5, 1937, in Utica, MN, the youngest of four brothers and three sisters. She was the cherished daughter of William and Mabel (Bartelson) Fabian.

Donna was born with cerebral palsy and intellectual disabilities, but she was a vibrant spirit and overcame challenges with a smile that could light up a room. Growing up, she loved nothing more than playing with her brothers and sisters and forming a special bond with her mom, who was always there for her. Donna had a playful nature and could often be found sitting in her favorite rocking chair, delighting in the feel of buttons on a string or the colorful sights of folded greeting cards.

She had a huge heart and would never let anyone leave without giving her a kiss. In her spare time, you could catch her enjoying a cold beer, clapping her hands, and stomping her feet to the lively tunes of polka music. Donna was quite the character, always doing things at full speed and indulging in good food. Spoiled by her caregivers at Home and Community Options, her special table was adorned with her favorite trinkets and toys, little treasures that brought her joy.

She is survived by her Sister-in-law, Rosemary Fabian; many loving caregivers from Home and Community Options; her caring guardian for over 30 years, niece, Sandy Leisen; and many special nieces and nephews.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, William and Mabel; brothers, Maurice Fabian, Melvin Fabian, Harvey Fabian, Truman "Doc" Fabian; sisters, Inez Walters, Eunice Baker, and Lorraine Neumann.

A memorial service will be held on March 10, 2025 at Hoff Funeral Home in St. Charles at 11am with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service.
