Donald Gary Guderian

Dover, MN Donald G. Guderian, 64, of Dover, MN, died Friday, November 7, 2008 at his home. Don was born on May 22, 1944 to Hiram and Mary (Lovelece) Guderian in Dover. He graduated from St. Charles High School and attended the University of Minnesota for agriculture. Don farmed with his father in rural Dover, drove for Ready Mix, and was a mechanic at the Luehman Implement in St. Charles. After retiring from farming, Don worked for Progressive Ag. In June of 1979, Don married Sandra Goretzki at the Elmira Church in rural Dover. He belonged to various hunting clubs, was on the Dover Township board for 36 years, and was President of the Township Association for 10 years. Don was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed traveling and ventured many hunting and fishing trips. He will be dearly missed. Don is survived by his wife Sandy of Dover; two daughters, Kay (Philip) Evers of Kellogg, MN and Dana Guderian-Larimer of Spring Valley, MN; ten grandchildren, Justin and Leanna Kingsley, Layne, Lanae, Loren, Brady, and Jill Evers, Josh Guderian, Shelby and Erin Larimer; sister Connie Phillips of Excelsior, MN; Aunt Rowena Guderian of St. Paul, MN; five nieces; and one nephew. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Carol. A Memorial Service for Don will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at the Dover Town Hall. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the Town Hall.
