Donald Dean Fenske

St. Charles, Donald Dean "Don" Fenske, Sr. 76, of St. Charles died Monday March 31st at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX. Don was born December 27, 1937 in Winona to Oscar and Bernice (Connaughty) Fenske. He graduated from St. Charles High School in 1956 and went on to farm the family farm near Dover. He married and later divorced. On November 11, 1989 Don and Marcelline Hintz Parnow were married at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in St. Charles. Don loved the farm, raising crops, dairy cows, dancing, and horses. Once the cows were sold he enjoyed camping. For more than 20 years Don and Marce went down south and became winter Texans. Don was a member of the St. Matthew Lutheran Church and the St. Charles Moose Lodge. He was a Minnesota Vikings fan and enjoyed watching and re-watching old westerns. Survivors include his wife Marce, five sons; Dave (Donna) Fenske of Rochester, Dennis (Lorena) Fenske of Rochester, Darrell Fenske of Dover, Don (Deb) Fenske, Jr. of St. Charles and Duane (Renae) Fenske of Fairbanks, IA, two step-children, Bonnie (Gary) Patzer of Bloomer, WI and Gary (Nancy) Parnow of Rochester, 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and their dog Cuddles. He was preceded in death by a sister LaVonne Tottingham and his parents. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Monday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in St. Charles with the Reverend Samuel Morsching officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Sunday at Hoff Funeral Service in St. Charles. They may also call one hour before services at the church.
