Don Thesing

Donald Theodore Thesing, 70, of rural Lewiston died Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at Winona Community Memorial Hospital. Donald was born March 8, 1933 in Lewiston, MN to Theodore and Evelyn (Ries) Thesing. Donald married Marlys Duellman on June 8, 1963 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Lewiston, MN. Donald farmed with his father for 10 years, at which time he drove over-the-road semi retiring in 1998. After retirement, he enjoyed gardening, bicycling, reading and the Packers. He especially enjoyed watching his grandsons at sports and other activities. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and the Lewiston American Legion. Donald is survived by his wife, Marlys; two sons, Don J. of Altura, MN and Douglas (Cindy) of Winona, MN; two grandchildren, Brandon and Aaron; and nine brothers, Roger (Betty) of Utica, MN, Rev. Gilbert of Africa, Richard (Linda) of Rochester, MN, Rev. Kenneth of Africa, Daniel (Betsy) of Florida, Michael (Georgia) of Osakis, MN, Steven, Philip (Joan) and John (Linda) all of Lewiston.
