Dennis M. Renk

BURNSVILLE, MINN. - Dennis M. Renk, 66, of Burnsville, died on Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at his home following a seven year battle with cancer. Dennis was born on July 21, 1942, in Minneapolis, Minn. to Bernard J. and Helen K. (Noiske) Renk. He was raised in Minneapolis and worked as an electrician for the IBEW292 for 42 years. On October 22, 1988, he married Sandra J. Agrimson. Dennis lived in the South Twin Cities Metro-area all of his life. He was an active member of the GMC Motor Home Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tinkering with mechanics. Dennis loved spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Sandra; father, Bernard Renk of Edina, Minn.; three children: Cheryl Renk of Eagan, Minn., Terrence Renk of Charleston, South Carolina, and Cynthia Renk of Eagan, Minn.; one brother, Jerome (Peggy) Renk of New Brighton, Minn.; one sister, Kathy (Phil) White of Minnetonka, Minn.; and by nieces and nephews. Dennis was preceded in death by his mother, Helen. There will be a funeral service for Dennis at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 28, at the Hope Presbyterian Church (7132 Portland Ave. South) in Richfield, Minn. with the Rev. Judie Ritchie officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the church. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, at the Arendahl Lutheran Cemetery in rural Peterson, Minn.
