Dennis Eugene Carlson

Dennis Eugene "Denny" Carlson, 61 of St. Charles died peacefully of natural causes on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at Sand Prairie in rural Kellogg. He was born March 30, 1946 in Winona to Fred and Loretta (Burke) Carlson. He graduated from St. Charles High School in 1964. Denny and Linda Littlefield were married in April of 1968 and later divorced. He worked for O&J Motors and Rochester Silo and later founded Carlson Equipment.. Denny traveled worldwide going to Alaska, Australia, Siberia, Russia and New Zealand. He loved the sights and meeting new people. He will always be remembered for his stories. Survivors include two children, Chris (Dan) Wenstrom of Cannon Falls and Aaron (Julie) Carlson of St. Charles, four grandchildren, Nicholas, Abby, Andrew and Morgan, three brothers Fred "Butch" (Shirley) Carlson of Elba; Paul (Jane) Carlson of Eden Prairie and Donald of Scottsdale, AZ and a sister Mary Carlson of St. Charles. His parents preceded him in death. A Service of Remembrance will be on Wednesday at 8 PM at the St. Charles Moose Lodge. Friends may call after 5PM Wednesday at the Moose Lodge. Hoff Funeral Home's, St. Charles Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. The family prefers memorials in lieu of flowers.
