Dennis Allen Julson

WINONADennis A. Julson, 62, of Winona died Saturday, March 7th, 2015 at his home.Dennis was born January 16, 1953 to Selmer and Beatrice (Decker) Julson in St. Paul, MN. To be closer to family, he and his family moved to Winona. At the age of three, Dennis suffered a stroke. As a man with tremendous courage and determination, Dennis was able accomplish many things that he was told he wouldn't be able to do. He Graduated from Winona High School, got his driver's license, and lived independently. He never allowed his disability to define who he was.With an infectious laugh and a smile that would light up a room, Dennis was a fun guy to be around. Some of his favorite activities included watching the Twins and Vikings, collecting steins, working on computers, or simply sitting outside and enjoying a root beer float.Dennis is lovingly survived by his sister, Betty Czaplewski; nephew, Al Czaplewski; and several aunts, one uncle, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Robert Czaplewski Services for Dennis will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
