Deloris I. Kopperud, 78, of Rushford, MN died Monday, October 30, 2006 at her home. Deloris was born to Albert and Helen (Gilbertson) Barney on July 15, 1928 in Rushford, MN. She attended Tenborg Country School in Rushford, MN. Deloris worked as a waitress at Niggles Café, was owner of Double K Restaurant, did cleaning for Pizza Place and the VFW, and worked for 32 years as a nursing assistant and trained medication assistant at Good Shepard Nursing Home, where she recently retired. Deloris was a member of Rushford Lutheran Church and was a member and current secretary of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Rushford. She loved horses, dancing, rides in the country, crossword puzzles, and playing cards, was a Troubleshooter fan, and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed. Deloris is survived by her seven children, Mary (Davis) Rislove of Rushford, MN; John Christopherson of Rushford, MN; Faye Kopperud of Winona, MN; Joan (Jon) Helland of Rushford, MN; Kay Kopperud of Preston, MN; Jean Kopperud of Winona, MN; Ann (Troy) Baker of Rushford, MN, 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Beatrice Rislove and Gladys Iverson both of Rushford, MN, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Harold Otis and Arthur Barney, and two sisters, Audrey Colbenson and Doris Otis.The Funeral Service for Deloris will be held on Friday, November 3, 2006 at 1:00 PM at Hoff Funeral Home ~ Rushford Chapel in Rushford, MN with Funeral Celebrant John Wagenaar officiating. Friends may call on Thursday, November 2 from 4-8 PM at Hoff Funeral Home in Rushford and also one hour prior the service on Friday.
