Utica, Debra Kay Kieffer, 51, of rural Utica died Friday morning May 20, 2005 at Rochester Methodist Hospital from complications of Leukemia. Debra was born March 5, 1954 in Alexandria, MN to Gordon and Nylene (Johnson) Jones. She graduated from Lewiston-Altura High School in 1972. Deb and Ron Kieffer were married on October 27, 1972 in St. Charles. She was a homemaker while her children were young. She later worked for the Post office in Utica and for Peterbilt Trucks. Since 1996 she worked for Herff Jones of Lewiston in the Entry Order Department of their Book Plant. Deb belonged to the Church of Christ in Winona. She loved spending time with her two grandsons. She also enjoyed cleaning. Survivors include her husband Ron, three daughters, Alicia (Ray) Olschewski of Byron; Amber Kieffer of Aurora, CO; and Amanda (Aaron) Gust of Eyota, two grandsons, Brady and Gavin, her parents Gordon & Nylene Jones of Lewiston and a sister Dixie Slayton of LaCrescent. Her brother-in-law Tom Slayton preceded her in death. Funeral Services will be 1:30 PM Monday at St. Paul's Church in Lewiston, with Mark Beerman of the Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow services in the Lewiston Public Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-7 PM Sunday at Hoff Funeral Home's ? Lewiston Chapel.
