Debbie Maus

March 26, 1956 — December 18, 2019

Deborah "Debbie" Maus, 63, of Minnesota City, passed away peacefully in her sleep following a courageous fight with leukemia early in the morning on December 18, 2019, at Gundersen Health Systems in LaCrosse, Wisconsin.
Debbie was born March 26, 1956 to John and Betty "Boerst" Ehlers in Winona, MN. She graduated from Winona Senior High School in 1974. Debbie then attended Winona State University, graduating in 1979. After graduation, Debbie began her 40-year long career at Winona Health, working in IT and most recently as a Provider Coordinator. She was a proud member of the Rivertown Lions.
Debbie married Bryceson "Bryce" Maus in 2004. With this marriage she became a part of the Maus family, and a mother to Bryce's two children Lindsay and Brett. Debbie and Bryce each possessed skills that were very complementary to each other. Whether Debbie was a better cook than Bryce or just a better baker was always a topic of debate in the Maus household. Debbie loved being a grandmother to her three favorite beautiful girls.
Debbie was very passionate about the Twins and Vikings. She loved to read anything related to romance, mystery, and history.
Debbie will be remembered as a leader in the family, a friend to all, an extremely organized woman, and someone who was never late. She made the world a better place for those who knew her, and has set a great example for those she has left behind.
She is survived by her husband, Bryce Maus; children, Lindsay (Adam) "Maus" Dupic and Brett Maus; grandchildren, Jordyn and Harper Czaplewski, and Addison Dupic; siblings, John (Cindy) Ehlers and Steven (Lisa) Ehlers; nieces and nephews; Vanessa (Jon) Streier, John Ehlers, Scott (Megan) Ehlers, Emily Ehlers, Gabrielle Ehlers; parents-in-law, Edwin and Judy Maus; and many more relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Betty; sister Nancy Lynn Ehlers; and her two adored canine kids, Tucker and Millie.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 23, 2019, at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview, MN with Funeral Celebrant Jen Corcoran presiding.
