Murray, 62, of Minneapolis died Monday, June 16, 2003, from injuries received after being struck by an automobile in Minneapolis. Dean was born on August 3, 1940, to Kirk and Dora (Thompson) Murray in Rochester, Minn. He was raised in the Saratoga, Minn. area. Dean moved to Minneapolis at age 20, where he lived for most of his adult life. He is survived by one brother, Curtis (Marcia) Murray of LaCrescent, Minn.; two nieces: Amy (Chris) Erickson of Edgerton, Wis. and Ellen (Jay) Newcomb of Farmington, Minn.; and by several cousins. Dean was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Helen. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 20, at Hoff Funeral Homes – St. Charles Chapel with Celebrant John Wagenaar officiating. Burial will be at the Saratoga Cemetery in Saratoga, Minn. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Friday. The family prefers memorials to be directed to the American Cancer Society.
