Dean Ferrier Hart, 85, of Dover died Thursday January 4, 2007 at Whitewater Healthcare Center in St. Charles. Dean was born September 11, 1921 in Winona to Harold and Ione (Ferrier) Hart. He and Marjorie McDonald were married December 5, 1945 at Dover United Methodist Church. The couple farmed in rural Dover and moved to Albert Lea in 1975, later living in Austin and Oronoco before returning to Dover. Dean farmed and demonstrated Miracle Maid Cookware and also worked as a service tech for Continental Foods coffee makers . He was a member of the Sunshine Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and Rising Sun Masonic Lodge both of St. Charles. Survivors include eight children; Deanna (Gary) Ihrke of Spring Valley, John (Sandy) Hart of Dover, Donald Hart of Montana, Milan (Elaine) Hart of Albert Lea, Terri Hart of Rochester, Tracy (Claire) Hart of Dover, David (Dianne) Hart of St. Charles and Harvey Hart of Dover, 18 grandchildren, Rochelle (Joseph) Braun; Todd (Nadia) Ihrke; Tasia (Moni) Islam; Fiona, Breann and Gavin Hart; Carrie (Lee) Deetz; Christine (Brian) Dvorak; John (Lacey) Hart; Milan (Kasia) Hart; Kemlin (Amy) Hart; Hope Amundsen; Jamie Maglothin; Eric Hart; Heather, Jacob, Ian and Tanner Hart, 17 great-grandchildren, Megan, Madeline and Nicholas Braun; Emma-Lee and Stephan Ihrke; Zahra Islam; Alissa., Caitlyn and Christine Deetz; Anna and Joseph Dvorak; Shelby, Clara and Kate Hart; Athena Hart; Deven and Zoey Startz. He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie on October 7, 1986, also by a brother Robert (Violet) Hart and his parents. There will be a Masonic Service at 5PM Sunday at Hoff Funeral Home, St. Charles. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-5 PM Sunday.
