David Taylor

David Lee Taylor of Rollingstone, MN, passed away peacefully on the morning of June 6, 2024, at the age of 89. David was born on September 20, 1934, in Louisville, Kentucky, and raised in Springfield, Illinois, Dave's journey through life was marked by his commitment to family, education, and community.

Dave graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University, an achievement that laid the foundation for his successful career. He retired at the age of 68 from Loram in Hamel, MN after a distinguished career in engineering leadership at various companies.

In 1955, Dave married the love of his life, MaryLou Regan, at the Church of the Little Flower in Springfield, IL. Together, they built a large family that stands as a testament to their enduring commitment and shared values.

Dave is survived by his devoted wife, MaryLou Taylor (Regan), with whom he shared a lifetime of love and true friendship. He leaves behind his six loving children, each of whom carries forward his spirit and values: Mike Taylor (Kim), Kathy Stoos (Terry), Judy Stoos, Lisa Snyder (Rick), Joyce Wood (Curt), and Kelly Evans (Chris). David's legacy also continues through his 38 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his life and in whom he took great pride.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Dorothy Taylor, and his beloved grandsons, Christopher Stoos, Isaiah Stoos and  Lawson Clayton as well as his father-in-law, Edward Regan, mother-in-law, Juanita Regan and brother in law, James Regan.

Dave was a man of strong character, known for his non judgemental, authentic attitude, wisdom, and unwavering love for his family and friends. His service to the community included serving on his church's financial committee and helping plan the yearly festival, demonstrating his commitment to his faith, his giving spirit and his lifelong commitment to helping others.

A Mass of Christian burial to celebrate Dave's life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone, MN. Visitation will take place from 9:30 until the time of Mass. A lunch will follow the ceremony at noon in the community center. The family invites all who knew and loved David to join them in honoring his memory and celebrating the wonderful life he led.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dave's name to Holy Trinity Church in Rollingstone, MN.

David Lee Taylor's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His love, guidance, and the beautiful memories he created will be cherished forever.

Rest in peace, Dave. You will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
