David "Dave" Milton Duffy, 61 of Houston, MN passed away suddenly of a heart attack, Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at his home. He was born on December 13, 1956 in Caledonia, MN to Milton and Helen (Doubek) Duffy. He graduated from Houston High School in 1974. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Navy and honorably served as a Seabee for 2 years. In 1975 he married Michele (Thompson) Duffy and together they had 3 children. They later divorced. Dave lived on the family farm where he raised both dairy and beef cattle. After selling the family farm he moved in with his partner, Linda Lange, where he again took pride in helping farm. In the spring of 2017 he retired from TRW. He was a member of the American Legion Post 423 in Houston, MN. Dave loved hunting, snowmobiling, fishing, ATVing, and farming, but most of all he loved his family. He is survived by his children, Brent (Shana) Duffy of Wausau, WI, Bryan (Avrie) Duffy of West Salem, WI, and Sarah (Josh) Koehler of Plainview, MN; grandchildren, Tiegen and Declan Duffy and Cadence and BryLynn Koehler; sisters, Mary (Jack) Koenig of Phoenix, AZ, Rita (Roger) Byrnes of Waukon, IA, and Connie (Ron) Burt of Winona, MN; and many nieces and nephews. Dave is preceded in death by his parents Milton and Helen; sisters, Shirley, Pauline, Patricia, and Sharon; and brother, Michael. A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center, Goodview, MN. A Prayer Service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Waukon, IA. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
