David C. Rislov

RUSHFORD, MINN. - David C. Rislov, 55, of Rushford, Minn. died on Saturday, April 18, 2009, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in LaCrosse, Wis. David was born on February 18, 1954, in Rushford to Donald and Pearl (Hundorf) Rislov. He was raised in rural Rushford and graduated from Peterson High School in 1972. On July 12, 1974, David married Deb Nelson in Winona, Minn. David farmed in rural Rushford until when 1987, when he began working as a truck driver. He worked for several area companies, most recently for Lawrence Trucking of Winona. He loved farming, travel, and his family. David was an excellent husband, father, and grandfather. David's family would like to especially thank his sister, Hope and brother, Dennis for all of their care and support. In additional they would like to thank LaVerne and Arlene Nelson for raising David, and for making him the man he became. David is survived by his wife, Deb; three children: Nikol (Darin) Hegland of Rushford, Adam (Sara) Rislov of LaCrescent, Minn., and Dustin (Ashley) Rislov of Rushford; four grandchildren: Lauren, Evan, Trygg, and Tait; and five brothers and four sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Brian and Paul. There will be a funeral service for David at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, at Hoff Funeral Homes - Rushford Chapel with funeral celebrant Daryl Thompson officiating.
