Lewiston, David Allen Marchwick, 63, of Lewiston died Tuesday October 24th at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Dave was born January 21, 1943 in Austin to John and Marion (Trotman) Marchwick. He graduated from Austin Pacelli High School. Following his graduation Dave attended Mankato State University, where he graduated with a degree in Economics and Finance. Dave then moved to St. Cloud and worked for Franklin Manufacturing. David and Barbara Ann Schmit were married on January 14, 1967 in St. Cloud. In 1970 they moved to Rose Creek where Dave worked for the State Bank of Rose Creek for seven years. In 1977 the couple moved to Lewiston. Dave worked for Security State Bank until retiring as Vice-President in January of this year. Dave belonged to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Lewiston, was a member and past-president of the Lewiston Lions and Lewiston Sportsmen's Club. He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus, the Winona Elks Lodge, Trout Unlimited, St. Charles Moose Lodge and the Board of Farmers Park. Dave, also known as Truman to family and childhood friends, is best remembered for his love of the outdoors, his land and wildlife conversation efforts with the Lewiston Sportsmen's Club and Lion's Club's, his community spirit and kind heart. Survivors include his wife Barb, three children; Colleen (Russell Stone) Marchwick of Eau Claire, Kelly (Robert Suranyi) Marchwick of Minneapolis and Darrick (Dawn) Marchwick of Richland Center, WI, three grandchildren; Jonah, Caleb and Reka, two brothers, John (Dorothy) Marchwick of Pequot Lakes, MN and Patrick (Brenda) Marchwick of Owatonna and a sister Mary (Gene) Richard of Virginia, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Gary. A Funeral Mass will be at 11AM Monday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Lewiston with the Rev. Marreddy Pothireddy and Rev. James Hennessy officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends may call at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Lewiston from 3-7 PM Sunday and one hour before services Monday.
