St. Charles, Daryl Edward "Bud" Schweitzer, 71, of St. Charles died Friday December 23, 2005 at his home. Bud was born June 15, 1934 in St. Charles to Jack and Ruth (Schrader) Schweitzer. He and Dorothy "Dottie" Tye were married on February 11, 1961. They made their home in St. Charles. Bud worked for Chicago & Northwestern Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad until his retirement. Following retirement he worked part-time delivering for Bumper to Bumper Auto parts, Mid-West Auto and Timm's Auto Salvage in St. Charles. Survivors include his wife Dorothy, three children, Tamela Duellman of Rochester, Jon (Patty) Schweitzer of St. Charles and Jody (Chad) Ramsey of Dover, four grandchildren, Casey, Karl, Harley Jo and Kylie, two brothers, Jack (Lois) Schweitzer of Rochester and Arizona and Chuck Schweitzer of St. Charles, a sister Maurine (Joe) Bluhm of Rochester and of Arizona. His mother preceded him in death. Bud lived for taking care of his grandchildren. He was everyone's "go to guy" and taxi. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Wednesday at Hoff Funeral Home's ? St. Charles Chapel with Funeral Celebrant John Wagenaar officiating. Burial will occur at a later date in Hillside Cemetery in St. Charles.
