Dockter, 75, of Houston, Minn. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Gundersen - Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wis., surrounded by her family. Darlene was born on October 27, 1936, in La Crosse, Wis. to Victor and Clara (Gaustad) Ledebuhr. She was raised in Money Creek, Minn. and attended Money Creek Country School. Darlene graduated from Houston High School in 1954. On November 9, 1956, she married Leroy Dockter. Darlene was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother, who enjoyed her family and grandchildren. Darlene lived in the Houston area all of her married life. She worked at the Houston State Bank and the Company Store in La Crosse, Wis. Darlene enjoyed crocheting, bowling, antiques, social networking and games on her computer, rummage sales, spending summers on the Mississippi at Brownsville, weekend adventures with her grandchildren, family holiday traditions and was a huge Willy Nelson fan. She was a member of the Money Creek United Methodist Church. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.Darlene is survived by four children: Douglas (Sue) Dockter of Houston, Tim (Lee Elson) Dockter of Roseville, Minn., Thomas Dockter of Money Creek and Darcy Papenfuss of Bangor, Wis.; six grandchildren: Anthony Dockter, David Dockter, Jared Papenfuss, Hunter Dockter, Cole Papenfuss and Lauren Elson.She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, at Money Creek United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Strom officiating. Burial will be in the Money Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service in Houston and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
