Daniel Maynard Burfield

YUCATAN, MINN. - Daniel "Danny" Maynard Burfield, 25 of Yucatan, died on Sunday, November 2, 2008, due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in rural Caledonia, Minn. Danny was born on March 13, 1983, in Winona, Minn. to Terry and Rhonda (Thomas) Burfield. He was raised in Houston and lived there all of his life. Danny attended Church and Sunday School at Bethany Evangelical Free Church in Houston. He attended Spring Grove High School and graduated in 2002. Danny worked with his father in his trucking business and on the farm. He was currently working for Ken's repair service in Houston. Danny enjoyed working on his cars and trucks, hanging out with his friends, working with his fellow employees, animals, fishing, and most of all spending time with his two children. Danny is survived by his two children: Meryah and Ethan; parents Terry and Rhonda of Spring Grove; two sisters: Rachel (Dustin) Bauer of West Concord, Minn. and their children, Randy and Michael, and Sarah (Travis Moen) Burfield and their son Jackson of Spring Grove, Minn.; paternal grandfather, Ron Krueger of Stoddard, Wis.; paternal grandmother, Gladys Burfield of rural Caledonia, Minn.; and by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Scott Allen Raynor, maternal grandparents: Francis Clifford Thomas and Helen Rachel Thomas; paternal grandfather, Russell Burfield; Uncle Guy Thomas; Aunt Pat Hummell; and brother-in-law,Ronnie Lange. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 7, at the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston, Minn. with the Rev. T. Wayne Larson officiating. Burial will be in the Money Creek Cemetery in Money Creek, Minn. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, at Hoff Funeral Homes - Houston Chapel, and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. In Lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to be directed to the Burfield Children Fund @ Eastwood Bank in Houston.
