Taken from his loved ones much too soon, Dalton Kline was a blessing to everyone he had met. He was a man of many interests and passions, but nothing was more near and dear to his heart than his beloved son. A well-loved son, father, and brother, who treasured being with family and friends, and it was when his loved ones were near that he was happiest. Life will never be the same without Dalton here, but his family and friends will be forever grateful to have held him near and dear to their hearts.
Randal and Michelle (Morrow) Kline were pleased to announce the birth of their baby boy on February 26, 1991, in San Jose, California. He enjoyed the love of his grandparents and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dalton loved his long walks with his grandma and grandpa Morrow as well as visiting grandma Odette at work in downtown San Jose for a milkshake and a visit to the library, tech museum, and Woolworths. His trips to Santa Cruz beach boardwalk, Monterey Bay, and the San Francisco Zoo were among his favorite things to do. On weekends he would go to visit his other grandparents, Jane and step grandpa, Mac McKenzie in the mountains of Northern California, where he enjoyed the lakes, rivers, and fishing. He was dedicated to the Lord at South Hills Community Church in Almaden.
Dalton moved to Winona when he was 3 1/2 years old, where he continued to learn about Jesus at Pleasant Valley Pre-school and daycare. He welcomed a little brother Coltan the month he turned 5 and a little sister Brooke when he was 6. His life in Winona was a whirlwind of picnics at the Zimmerman farm, baseball, laser tag with friends, video games, sleepovers, hiking the bluffs, reading, and more reading, and all things Lord of the Rings. One of his favorite memories was a trip he got to take with his dad. Original destination was California but his dad had a surpise for him. Unbeknownst to Dalton, his dad had purchased tickets to see one of his favorite performers, Serj Tankian. When they stopped in Denver, CO to stay the night they took a cab to see the city and ended up at the concert. The problem was it was an 18 and over venue and Dalton was only 16. His dad was able to talk to the head of security who, once he found out how far they had driven, allowed him in.
Dalton attended W-K Elementrary, then homeschooled, then he attended Riverway, was homeschooled again, attended Bluffview Montessori until high school where he attended Winona Senior High School and graduated from the ALC. He was blessed with so many caring educators at all of these schools. To all of the teachers who taught Dalton, please know you touched him in a profound way. Dalton always had a passion and desire for eduction, he would often come over to his parent's house and share random facts about anything and everthing. Sharing a common interest, Dalton always taught his sister Brooke something new about what was going on in the science world: new physics discoveries, new NASA inventions, and everything there is to know about Pokemon.
Dalton had a desire to see Norway and Iceland, and loved space and learning about the planets so much so, that he asked for, and received a 12" telescope for his high school graduation. Dalton worked at Walmart as a cashier and customer service supervisor, Ferraro Candy Co., and Wincraft. Dalton went on to attend Minnesota State Southeast Technical for welding. He was currently employed at Anova as a welder. Dalton had many friends throughout his life, some moved, and some became a part of our family. Daltons greatest legacy is his son, Christian William Kline. Our prayer for him is that someday he will realize how much his father loved him and will honor him with a rich and Godly life. We are greatly saddened and will miss Dalton deeply; yet, through his son Christian as he grows up, we will always have the reflective image and representation of Dalton, as a father, a friend, and a beloved son. We will see you again Dalton, in the kingdom of our Lord Jesus, until then,
"Good Morning Starshine"
