Dale Russell Northrup

Dale Russell Northrup, 83, of Winona died Friday, February 16, 2018 at Winona Health surrounded by his family. Dale was born on Pleasant Ridge on August 9, 1934 to Byne and Florence (Holliday) Northrup. He attended Winona Senior High and met Joyce Buerck. The two of them were married on October 1,1955 at Central Methodist Church Winona, Mn. Dale was a family man and together he and Joyce had 4 wonderful children, Russell, Pamela, Lori and Linda. He showed them his love for cars between his racing and fixing of cars. He was known for his classic cars especially his 1936 Ford Coupe and Bright Red Ford Thunderbird. Dale worked at Peerles Chain for 40 years and then as a runner for TRW for another 10. He was active in his Elks club where he was named Elk of the Year - 2012. He also was a very big influence in the Goodview Activity Group and helped design the float for the parade every year. He loved his family and had a very special bond with his grandchildren who each got their own special song created for them by grandpa.

Dale is survived by his loving wife Joyce; children, Russell ( Peggy) Northrup, Pamela (Mike) Walski, Lori (LaVerne) Pronschinske, Linda (Scott) Speer; grandchildren, April Northrup, Amanda (Terry) Kikilas, Christina (Keith) Foss, Shaun (Katie) Walski, Lee (Casey) Pronschinske, Emily (Anton) Kaltenberg, Erin Pronschinske (Collin Tullius), Faith Pronschinske, Tasha Speer ( Ryan Sass) ; great-grandchildren, Avery Foss, Harper and Jamison Walski, Bree and Abby Pronschinske, Gavin Kaltenberg; and sister, Bernita Glenna.

He is preceded in death by his siblings, Donald, Genevive, Dean, Alan, Roy, Jim, Jerry, Ronald, Roger, Marilyn.

A visitation will be held 5-8 pm, Monday February 19 with a Funeral at 11 AM with vistiation one hour prior, on Tuesday, February 20th with Celebrant Jenny Hoff at Hoff Celebration of Life Center, Goodview.
