Dale L. Dorsch

December 29, 1953 — May 27, 2021

Dale Louis Dorsch, 67 of Winona, passed away peacefully at Lake Winona Manor on Thursday, May 27, 2021.
He was born in Winona, MN on December 29, 1953 to Leonard and Ruth (Stever) Dorsch.
Dale was a truly fun-loving man, caring, and was always willing to help a friend. He was a lifelong die-hard Packers and Twins fan. He and his wife would enjoy time rooting for their teams. Earlier in Dale's life he loved spending time on the Mississippi River. He owned a boathouse for several years where his daughter, friends, and family spent many hours fishing and tubing. He played league pool and softball and made many friends along the way.
Dale graduated from Winona Senior High, class of 1972. Shortly after that, he started work at Fibrite/Cytec and remained there 40 years. He met his wife there, "by the dumpster" he would say and were happily married for 26 years. In 2015 Dale suffered a massive stroke and was unable to continue working.
Dale is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; daughter, Danielle Coey whom he adored; stepchildren, Adam (Melissa) Snodgrass of Winona, Arlene Snodgrass of Tabernash, CO, and Melissa Petschow of Cochrane, WI; sisters, Donna (Mike) Gabrych of Titusville, FL and Deanna Dorsch of La Crescent, MN; Dale has 10 grandchildren whom he loved dearly; nieces, nephews, several cousins; sister-in-law, Carol Dorsch of Houston, TX and several other in-laws. No one ever met Dale that didn't like him. Words are just not enough to convey how much he will be missed.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Denny.
The family will be having a private graveside service at Oakland Cemetery in Dresbach. Lunch will be served for family and friends of Dale's at the East Side Bar in Winona on Saturday, June 12 from 1-4 p.m.
Please come and celebrate Dale's life. CHEERS to Coyote!!!
An incredibly special thank you to all the staff at Lake Winona Manor for their kindness, care, and dedication to Dale. In these times, with Covid 19 and staff shortages, these workers are true angels.
Please leave a memory of Dale and sign his online guestbook at www.hofffuneral.com. Hoff Celebration of Life Center, Goodview, is assisting the family.
