Cyrus J. Larson

Rushford, MNCyrus J. Larson, 94, died Monday, December 19, 2005, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford, MN. Cyrus was born July 11, 1911 in Preble Township, Fillmore County, MN to Jacob and Mina Larson. On November 4, 1934 he married Amy Johnson. Cyrus is a former member of Highland and Rushford Lutheran churches. He worked as a farmer, construction worker and for many years owned and operated a gas station in Rushford.Cyrus is survived by his wife of 71 years, Amy; six children, Conrad (Rachael) Larson of Minneapolis, MN, Jerald (Cheryl) Larson of Winona, MN, Dorothy (Ralph) Pruka of Rockford, IL, Marlene (Lester) Bellock of Peterson, MN, Brenda (Glen) Erdmann of Winona, MN and Andrea (Al) Erving of Denver, CO; 18 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and four brothers. Funeral services are planned for Friday, December 23, 2005, at 11:00am at Hoff Funeral Home - Rushford Chapel with Pastor Terry Rasmussen officiating. Burial will be in the Choice Cemetery. Friends may call at Hoff Funeral Home - Rushford Chapel on Thursday from 4-7:00pm and also one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.
