Crystal Elizabeth Johnson, 84, of St. Charles died Friday January 25, 2008 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester. Crystal was born October 17, 1923 in Grey Eagle, MN to Fred and Elizabeth (Little) Brees. She and Myles Johnson were married July 11, 1942 In Grey Eagle. The couple lived in Dayton Township, rural Anoka, MN for many years. Crystal worked at Litton Microwave CO. and belonged to the Maple Grove United Methodist Church where she sang in the church choir, was active in United Methodist Women, served as Chairman of the World Day of Prayer and taught Sunday and Bible school. In 1981 they moved to St. Charles. In St. Charles Crystal worked as a receptionist for the Southeastern Minnesota Rural Education and Resource Center. She was a member of the St. Charles United Methodist Church, where she was active in the United Methodist Women Survivors include her four children; Sheila (John) Buster of Plainview, Mary Norris of Rochester, Terry (Debbie) Johnson of St. Charles and Tim (Michelle) Johnson of Cedar, MN, ten grandchildren; Rhaelee Robin, Dannia (Theresa), Leiza, Mark (Tambi), Terry (Lisa), Adam, Shannon, Chad, Brian and Joe and 20 great-grandchildren. Her husband Myles died December 21, 1988. She was also preceded in death by a sister Lila Schmidt, a foster brother Enio and a great-grandson Aiken. Funeral Services will be 11AM Tuesday at St. Charles United Methodist Church with the Reverend David Laechel officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel United Methodist Cemetery in Maple Grove. Friends may call from 4-7 PM Monday at Hoff Funeral Home in St. Charles. They may also call one hour before services at the church on Tuesday.
