Conrad "Connie" Arnold Kreidermacher, 87 of Rollingstone, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at home surrounded by his family.Connie was born January 27, 1927 in Oak Ridge to Lawrence and Hattie (Kohner) Kreidermacher. He graduated from Holy Trinity School and enlisted in the United States Navy. Following his honorable discharge in 1946, he returned home to farm on the family farm. On June 5, 1948, Connie married Catherine "Kate" Stockhausen at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He was a lifelong farmer and truly loved being on the farm. Connie was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Lions Club, St. Nicholas Society, Lewiston Country Club and was the former treasure of Mount Vernon Township. He also drove bus for the VA for 10 years, taking many people to their appointments at the VA clinics. Connie enjoyed golfing and was an avid Twins and Cubs fan. He also enjoyed going to Bonnie Rae's Cafe for coffee and the news, sports and weather.He is survived by his wife, Kate; six children, Patrick (Barbara) of Altura, Sue (Jack) Halvorson of Burnsville, David (Mary Sue) of Utica, Kathy (David) Thesing of Coon Rapids, Gail (Mark) Burt of Utica and Mark (Cindy) of Eagan; son-in-law, Ken Lafky; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Robert, Jim and Jack (Dolores) all of Rollingstone.Connie was preceded in death by his parents; 3 daughters, Mary Kay Kreidermacher, Lynn Lafky and Karen Kreidermacher; one grandson, Eric Halvorson; siblings, Fran Kreidermacher, Winifred Tlougan, Bernice Semling and Leonard Kreidermacher.Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m., Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone with the Reverend William Kulas officiating. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery at Oak Ridge. Visitation will be 4 -8 p.m., Friday at church with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church. Memorials are preferred.
