RUSHFORD, MINN. - Cleo L. Nehrt, 79, of Rushford, Minn. and formerly of Andover, Minn. died Saturday, November 27, 2004, at Winona Community Memorial Hospital in Winona, Minn. She was born on April 27, 1925 in St. Francis, Minn. to Edward and Bertha (Beggs) Smith. She married Roy Nehrt, Roy preceded her in death in 1985. She lived in St. Francis, Coon Rapids, Andover and moved to Rushford, 3 years ago. Her career was spent in the Insurance Industry in the Twin Cities area. Cleo was a founding member of the Wissota Appaloosa Horse Club and a lifetime member of the Cambridge Kennel Club. She loved showing Appaloosa's and Dalmatians. Cleo had no immediate family members surviving her; she was however survived by many friends, especially Loren and Jean Rue of Rushford. The funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, at Thomson - Dougherty Funeral Home at 2535 Park Ave. in Minneapolis. Burial will be in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Thomson - Dougherty Funeral Home. Hoff Funeral Home in Rushford, Minn. is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
