LA CROSSE, WI - Clark V. Davidson, 53, of La Crosse, WI and formerly of Rushford, MN died on Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse.
Clark was born on June 28, 1964, in La Crosse, WI to Clifford and Violet (Peterson) Davidson. He was raised in Rushford and graduated from Rushford High School and later from Winona State University with a Bachelor's degree in political science. Clark was in a car accident when he was 19. He became a quadriplegic from the injuries that he sustained. Clark's determination made him proficient at writing and operating a word processor. Clark worked as a sports writer at the Tri-County Record in Rushford. He also worked as an intern at the White House in Washington D.C. during the Obama Administration. Most recently, Clark worked for La Crosse County as a mediator to help troubled teens. He was a very intelligent man who took a great interest in sports, politics and he loved to read. He was a member of Rushford Lutheran Church.
Clark is survived by his sister, Ingrid (Duane) Bunke of Rushford; two nieces: Cher (Kevin) Frazen and Nikki (Andrew) Bunke both of Rushford; a nephew, Dustin (Becky) Bunke of Rushford; and by great-nieces and great-nephews: Ethan, Mariah, Marissa, Isaiah, Malachi, Johah, Stella, Dawson, Emerson, Oliver, and Quinn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a niece, JoNelle Bunke.
There will be a funeral service for Clark at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, as Hoff Funeral Service in Rushford with The Reverend Roger Michaelson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rushford Lutheran Cemetery.
