Clarissa Marcella Iverson

Clarissa Marcella Iverson, 87, of Winona, peacefully left her earthly home on Friday, August 24, 2012 at Lake Winona Manor.Clarissa was born April 3, 1925 in Spring Grove to Oscar & Lillie (Nelson) Hausker. She was raised in the Spring Grove & Mabel area. Clarissa had a great love of music, especially polka and country music. When she was younger, she loved going to dances. Clarissa also loved her cats and her many trips with her sons and sometimes her grandchildren to California, northern Minnesota and the Black Hills. She especially enjoyed going to Wall Drug. Family was very important to Clarissa and she truly enjoyed visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.She is survived by four children, Earl Quinnell of Winona, Elsie (Bob) Googins of Orange, TX, Michael Iverson of Winona and Carol (Loran) Paetzel of Winona; five grandchildren, Scott Googins, Angie Googins, Melissa Paetzel (Michael Kappmeyer), Sarah (Brad) Moyer and Tayler Paetzel; eleven great-grandchildren, including Adriann & Emmit who would visit Clarissa often; one sister, Lois (David) Schultz of Goodview and many nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Iverson in 1972; parents and one sister, Odes (Gerhard) Johnson.Funeral Service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, August 30 at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service- Goodview chapel. Visitation will be 9 a.m., until the time of the service.
