Clarence C. Franke

Clarence Carl Franke, 85, of Eyota died Monday, June 1, 2020 at his home. He was born November 21, 1934 to Rudolph and Amanda (Otto) Franke at home on the farm near Eyota. Clarence attended Eyota schools before he started farming full time. He married Janet Olson on November 26, 1955 at St. Mathews Lutheran Church in St. Charles. They started their young family and had 4 children. Farming, hard work and love were pillars in Clarence's life. He passed down those lessons to his children and grandchildren. In his later years, Clarence and Janet began to travel. One of his favorite trips was their tour of the Hoover Dam.
Clarence is survived by his loving wife, Janet; sons, James (Deb) Franke, Robert (Lori) Franke, John (Traci) Franke; son-in-law, Mark Lewis; grandchildren, Brian, Kevin, Ashley, Scott, Spencer, Luke, Amanda; 7 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Lewis; sister, Alice Storm.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 5, 2020 with a visitation from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Eyota. Please practice social distancing. Anyone who chooses not to come into the church is welcome to tune to channel 105.9 FM from the church parking lot or the surrounding area to follow along with the service.
