Cheryl "Cheri" Weaver

Cheryl “Cheri” Teresa (Lehnertz) Weaver, 72, of Rollingstone, Minnesota passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, peacefully with family by her side after a brain aneurysm.
 
Cheri was born to Edward and Mildred (Scherbring) Lehnertz of Rollingstone, Minnesota and grew up on their family farm. She married her high school sweetheart, Greg Weaver in 1974 and they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
 
Cheri was also known as Mrs. Weaver to many, teaching first grade for over 40 years, mostly at Goodview Elementary School. This was her passion in life and she loved teaching and helping others.  During retirement Cheri enjoyed volunteering at Goodview School and the Winona County Historical Society.  She also volunteered for the feast meals at Central Lutheran Church in Winona in memory of her aunt, Rita Lehnertz.
 
When she was not volunteering, she would be going to auctions with her brother, Roger or spending time with her daughter, Jennifer.  Cheri loved having lunch with her many friends and sharing laughs with her husband, Greg. Cheri was always someone to talk to, lean on, and trust. Her caring heart and passion for helping others fulfilled her life.
 
Cheri was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Millie Lehnertz; brothers, Jeffery and Rick, and many beloved aunts and uncles. She is survived by her husband, Greg Weaver; daughter, Jennifer Weaver; son-in-law, Matt Reuter; brother, Roger Lehnertz; sister-in-law, Gloria Lehnertz, and many beloved relatives and dear friends.
 
A celebration of life will be held at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center – Goodview, led by funeral celebrant, Jen Corcoran.  Visitation will be 3 p.m., until the time of the service.   She will be laid to rest at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Rollingstone in a private family service.
