Charlotte Marie Whitcomb

Charlotte Marie Whitcomb, 59, of St. Charles died Thursday, December 25, 2008 at her home. She was born September 28, 1949 on the family farm in Oronoco to Richard and Ann (Chilson) Johnsen. Charlotte married Judd Whitcomb on June 8, 1987 in Golden, Colorado. They later moved to Chatfield before moving to St. Charles in 1999. She worked as a housekeeper in Rochester until retiring due to her health. Charlotte enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing. She volunteered at the Southeast Minnesota Rural Education and Resource Center in St. Charles. Survivors include her husband Judd, two children; Mike Haag of Spring Grove and Darlene Haag of St. Charles, two granddaughters, Brittany Ann Haag and Kelly Ann Cornett, two step-grandsons, Nathan and Andy Wells and a sister Barbara (Jim) Axelson of Grand Rapids, MN. She was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and her parents. Funeral Services will be 10AM Monday at First Baptist Church in St. Charles with Pastor Daniel Dunphy officiating. Cremation will follow with a spring burial at Othello Cemetery at Douglas, MN. Friends may call from 2-5 PM Sunday at Hoff Funeral Home in St. Charles.
