Charles Albert Radatz, Jr., 88, of Lewiston, died Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at his home. Charles was born April 27, 1925 in Lewiston to Charles and Addie (Wirt) Radatz. In 1943 he graduated from Lewiston High School and on April 28, 1951 married Coralyn Goss. He farmed on the family dairy farm for most of his life where he was an early adopter of soil conservation practices. He also worked with the Garvin Brook Clean Water Project for several years. He was an active member of the Lewiston Church of the Brethren. He was involved with Farm Bureau, the Farmers Community Park Board and served on the Lewiston School Board. Charles enjoyed woodworking, was a fan of the Minnesota Twins and loved every minute spent with his family. He will be extremely missed by his family, friends, and community.He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Coralyn; four children, Chris (Mary) of New Market, Ray (Diane) of Lewiston, Caryl (Reggie Bennett) of Apple Valley and Susan (Dennis) Frame of Osseo, WI; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m., Friday at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service in Lewiston. Funeral Service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the Lewiston Church of the Brethren with visitation at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
