Carolynne Ann Heim, 79, of Fremont, passed away peacefully, Monday, January 23, 2017 at Brookdale Senior living. She was born on January 15, 1938 in St. Paul to George and Mildred (Ellringer) Masters. On April 9, 1956, she married Alfred Heim, graduated from St. Charles High School one month later, and joined Alfred in Georgia where he was stationed in the Army. Throughout high school she worked at Del's Café, and when they moved back to Fremont they continued the family farm. Carolynne always worked right beside Alfred on the farm. She also worked for Riverside until she retired. Carolynne was an active member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She sang in the church choir and was a part of the Dorcas club. She enjoyed ceramics, bowling, cooking, and singing. She had a love for all critters and was a 4-H leader. Carolynne is survived by her children, Jackie (Paul) Glende, Bruce (Jodi) Heim, Dan (Melanie) Heim, and Michelle (Tad) Ellinghuysen; grandchildren, Jenny, Heather, Marie, Hollie, Joe, Chris, Leah, Ben, Katie, Cody, Brooke, Breana, Lacey, and Dakota; 12 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Larry (Inga) Masters, Beth (Bob) Kamrath, and Reena Thielbar. She is preceded in death by her parents' husband, Alfred; and brothers, Wally and Mike. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, January 27, 2017 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewiston, with Reverend Paul Kuckhahn and Reverend Michael Lindemann officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m., Thursday, at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Services, Lewiston, and one hour prior to the service at church.
