RUSHFORD, MN - Carolyn A. Myhro, 84, of Rushford, MN died on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford.
Carolyn was born on February 6, 1932, in Spring Grove, MN to Carlton and Alma (Solum) Ellingson. She was raised in Spring Grove, attended country school there and graduated from Spring Grove High School in 1949. On June 15, 1951, Carolyn was united in marriage with Luther "Lupy" Myhro in Spring Grove. She worked as doctor's assistant and a dental assistant in Spring Grove until moving to Rushford in 1957. Carolyn enjoyed her work as an Avon and a Mary Kay representative for many years. She was a member of Rushford Lutheran Church, the church circle and the Federated Club in Rushford. Carolyn was an excellent baker and cook. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling, golf, playing cards and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Lupy; two children: Sandy Myhro and her husband, Alan Pearlman of Brightwaters, NY and Steve Myhro and his wife Sarah of Rochester, MN; and by three grandchildren: Christopher, Colin and Jenna.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Michael and a brother, Donald.
There will be a memorial service for Carolyn at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, at Rushford Lutheran Church with the Rev. Roger Michaelson officiating. Burial will be in the Rushford Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10, at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service in Rushford.
