Monday night, July 27, 2020, the Good Lord called another Angel up to Heaven. Carol Marie Lynch, 87, went home to be with her Maker while in her sleep, with family by her side after a brief stay in hospice care in Stewartville, MN.
She was born July 23, 1933 in Rushford, MN to John and Lorna (Marker) Lynch. Carol graduated in 1952 from Chatfield High School in Chatfield, MN. She later moved to Rochester, MN where she worked at St. Mary's Hospital until her retirement in 1994.
Carol enjoyed being with family and friends. She collected many vases and Beanie Babies, and loved doing Word Search puzzles. Carol was an avid watcher of Days of our Lives, The Price is Right, and Family Feud. She also enjoyed cats and dogs. Carol traveled extensively throughout the United States, including Hawaii, and also a couple of cruises, accompanied by her mother and good friends. She was very much a people person and will be missed by many. She belonged to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chatfield, MN.
Carol is survived by two brothers, Bob (Mary) Lynch of Stewartville, MN and Bill (Linda) Lynch of Osceola, WI, three sisters, Helen (Dwayne) Hotopp of Stewartville, MN, Betty (Ken) Warner of Rochester, MN and Lois (Rick) Berg of Eau Claire, WI, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Lorna (Marker) Lynch of Chatfield, MN, two sisters, Cathy (Stanley) Hahn of Medford, WI, Marion (Henry) Larsen of Rapid City, SD, two infant brothers Duane and John of Chatfield, MN, two brothers-in-law Dwayne Hotopp and Henry Larsen, and two great-nephews.
Funeral service will be Monday, August 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chatfield, MN with visitation at 10:00 a.m. at the church.
The family of Carol Lynch thanks those caring for her at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN, at the Stewartville Nursing Home in Stewartville, MN and those involved with her care while she was in hospice care in Stewartville, MN. Again, thank you so very much. She had wonderful care while in all of those facilities.
