Carol J. Steinfeldt

Carol Jean Steinfeldt, 75 of Winona, passed away, Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at her home. She was born on June 23, 1944 to Paul and Anita (Pflughoeft) Steinfeldt.
Carol enjoyed the simple things in life and was a great listener and storyteller. Carol was an avid painter, and her beautiful personality could be seen through her artwork. Carol thoroughly enjoyed participating in Winona Rocks painting group and attending numerous COMPASS activities. Carol enjoyed watching movies, listening to audio books and enjoying music on her headphones while snuggled under her favorite heated blanket. Carol could often be found at the library taking in the peaceful atmosphere. She loved coffee and sweet treats and could spend an entire afternoon at many of the local coffee shops. Carol enjoyed going for scenic rides with her housemates to look at all our city has to offer. One of Carol's favorite things to do was to be pampered by having weekly spa days at the house. She didn't go a week without having her hair done and receiving a manicure and pedicure.
Carol is survived by her siblings, Delores Halvorson, Jerry and Roger Steinfeldt. After moving in with the Cardinal of Minnesota Goodview home in 2006, Carol gained her true family. She will be deeply missed by her house mates and many staff that loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and the few close housemates who passed before her and will greet her at heaven's door with a warm hug.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center, Goodview led by Funeral Celebrant Jodi Heim. Visitation will be from noon until the time of the service. Carol will be laid to rest in Bush Cemetery.
