Winona, MN Carol A. Storlie, 73, of Stockton, MN, died Monday, March 1, 2010 at Community Memorial Hospital in Winona, MN. Carol was born on January 27, 1937 in Waseca, MN, to Edward and Agnes (Habeck) Fogel. On November 17, 1956 she married Lyle Storlie in Hart, MN and moved to Stockton Hill. Together they managed and owned motels in Springfield, MN and Fall Creek, WI for 25 years. She also worked at Miller Filpax for 9 years and worked as a nurse's aide. Carol was a people person, loved visiting, fishing, camping, her dog Coco, and going to casinos. She will be dearly missed. Carol is survived by her husband of 53 years, Lyle of Stockton; father, Edward Fogel of Rushford, MN; three children, Jim Storlie of Stockton, Judy (Steve) Kromrey of Minnesota City, MN, and Jay Storlie of Elk River, MN; 4 grandchildren, Melissa, Nate, Brandon, and Nick; 5 siblings, Richard (Pat) Fogel of Rushford, Bonnie (Ronald) Brevig of Rushford, Jean (John) Peterson of Rushford, Jerry (Deb) Fogel of Lanseboro, and June (Mike) Kohnert of LaCrosse, WI; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Agnes. A Memorial Service for Carol will be held on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 1:00pm at Central Lutheran Church in Winona, MN with the Reverend Jeff Franco officiating. Burial will be held in the spring.
