RUSHFORD, MINN. ? Caleb Walter Wilkemeyer, 20, of Rushford, died Saturday, September 10, 2005, near Rushford due to a motor-vehicle accident. Caleb was born on March 11, 1985, in LaCrosse, Wis. to Walter and Julie (Ahrensfeld) Wilkemeyer. He was an apprentice electrician for Accord Electric, IBEW Local 343 and had previously attended RCTC. Caleb was a 2003, graduate of Rushford ?Peterson High School. Caleb will always be remembered for his passion for the outdoors. He loved deer hunting and scouting. One of Caleb's fondest memories was winning the 2002, football State Championship and the many times spent with fellow teammates and their parents. We love you #56. Caleb loved spending time with family and friends. His love, smile and support touched many lives. Known by many and loved by all. Caleb is survived by his parents, Julie and Walter Wilkemeyer of Rushford, Minn.; one brother, Abraham of Rushford, Minn.; three sisters: Kari Wilkemeyer of Adams, Minn., Angela Wilkemeyer of Inver Grove Heights, Minn. and Amber Dahl of Osakis, Minn.; paternal grandmother, Carol Wilkemeyer of Rushford, Minn.; maternal grandparents, Marilu and Greg Ahrensfeld of Winona, Minn.; and by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and his girlfriend, Courtney Thompson of Lewiston, Minn. Caleb was preceded in death by his grandfathers: James Elwell and Ray Wilkemeyer and one cousin Kyle Ahrensfeld. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14, at Rushford Lutheran Church with the Rev. Frederick Buth officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Hoff Funeral Homes ? Rushford Chapel and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. In Lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to be directed to the Caleb W. Wilkemeyer Memorial Scholarship Fund.
