Burton Donald Hall, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, August 17 surrounded by his family at his home in Goodview. Burton was born on November 17, 1953 in Independence, IA, the son of Burton Lyle Hall and Helen Ives (Gilbertson) Hall.
Burton's early life was difficult but after moving to Winona and meeting Bonnie, he lived out his best years. He possessed a strong work ethic and was a hard worker at Behrens Manufacturing for 26 years, he loved what he did. He was very passionate about many things including music, nature, cooking, golf, the Steelers, Nascar, Stock and Formula One racing but what he loved most of all was his wife and kids. He enjoyed sharing stories and information about the things he held dear. If you knew Burton, then you've likely learned a thing or two from him and know he would prefer a party over a funeral. He was truly a unique man and will be greatly missed.
Burton will always be remembered by his wife, Bonnie Hall; children, Amber (Chris) Hatch, Courtney (Tyrome) Martin, Dylan (Anna) Hall, Casie Hall; grandchildren, Gavin Hatch, Tyson (Courtney) Mathews & Josi (Courtney) Boddie; siblings, Rhonda Newton of AZ, Joni Thomas of IA, Lori (Mark Fleagle) of IA; as well as his nieces, nephews, other extended family and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Burton and Helen; brother, Dennis Hall; brother-in-law, Jim Thomas.
A Celebration of Burton’s Life will take place from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM on Friday, August 19 at the Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview.
