Bonnie J. Patterson

St. Charles, Bonnie J. Patterson, 54, of Naples, Florida passed away Monday August 7, 2006 at North Collier Hospital in Naples with her two sisters at her side. She was born October 1, 1951 in Rochester, Minnesota to John "Jack" & Erna Patterson. Bonnie grew up in St. Charles and graduated from St. Charles High School in 1969. She graduated from Rochester Vocational School in 1973 and began as a medical secretary at Mayo Clinic. Bonnie then returned to college and graduated with an Associated Degree in Civil Engineering Technology in 1978. She worked in this field until 1985, and then Bonnie was with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota until moving to Florida in 1991. In Florida her career led her to interior design and later in to the security guard field. Bonnie moved to Naples in 2002 with her companion Zack, a toy poodle and later her tea cup poodle, Cassidy. Bonnie is survived by her sisters Gail Belzer-Moore and husband Dave of Mattoon, IL, Joan Spence and husband Dave of Temecula, CA, one niece Jacquelyn Spence (Godchild) and three nephews; Zachary Spence, Jonathon Bezler and Steve Bezler and family, stepfather Kenneth Dulley of Mattoon, IL and three step-sisters. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents John Patterson in 1968 and Erna Patterson Dulley in 2004. Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 -7:45 PM Thursday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in St. Charles. A Prayer Service will follow at 7:45 PM Thursday with Rev. Ron Prigge officiating.
