Bonnie Mae Brunsvold, 85, of Chatfield formerly of Harmony, died Saturday Jan. 23, 2016, at Chosen Valley Care Center.
Bonnie Mae Schultz was born Aug. 7, 1930, in Grafton, Iowa, to John and Rose (Walk) Schultz . She attended from Grafton High School 1947 and Wartburg College in 1949, earning a Teaching Degree. She married Wallace Brunsvold on July 9, 1954 in Grafton, Iowa. She taught for 43 years in various elementary schools. She was a member of Greenfield Lutheran Church, Chatfield Lutheran Church, and the Educators Association of Minnesota. She was also a member of Golf League, Harmony Visitors Bureau, and Lutheran Ladies Aide.
Bonnie is lovingly remembered by her husband, Wallace Brunsvold; one sister, Marilyn Sheahan of Sheffield, Iowa; one son, Scott Wallace (Carla) of Eyota; one daughter, Karla Kay Dasen (Jeff) of Scottsdale, Arizona; three grandchildren, Matthew Dasen, Katrina Dasen, and Samantha Brunsvold; and one great grandchild, Sebastian Aaron Castilla Dasen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother Clyde, sister Maxine, brothers-in-law John Sheahan and Rueben Walk.
A funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at Chatfield Lutheran Church in Chatfield, with Pastor Mark Docken officiating.
The commital service will take place in Greenfield Lutheran Cemetery in Harmony.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 28, 5-7 p.m. at Riley Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the service at Chatfield Lutheran Church.
