St. Charles, MN Blake Duane Hein, 86, of Winona, MN, died Saturday, May 2, 2009 at The Golden Living Center ?Whitewater in St. Charles, MN. Blake was born April 17, 1923 in Dover, MN to Otto and Mabel (Parsons) Hein. On November 29, 1947 Blake married Anita Lawrenz. Blake served in the United States Military for 25 years as an airline fuel maintenance repairman. Together they moved around to various cities and eventually made their home in Winona. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion Post #9, Elks, Eagles, and McKinley United Methodist Church, all in Winona. He was an avid collector and will be dearly missed. Blake is survived by his wife of 61 years, Anita Hein of Winona; daughter Jeanne (Ron) Sepiol of Excelsior, MN; grandson Andy Sepiol of Excelsior, MN; two sisters, Peggy Dwyer of Hastings, MN and Mary Jo Schmidt of FL; brother Lyman (Mary) Hein of Rochester, MN; stepsister Judy (Bob) Putland of CA; two half sisters, Robin (Roger) McCullar of AZ and Connie Wallace of MT. He is preceded in death by her parents, stepmother Grace, and daughter Patricia Hein in 2001. A Celebration of Life for Blake will be held at 11:00am Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service - Hansen Goodview Chapel with the Reverend Christine Robinson officiating.
